Connecticut and the Boston area
are moving in and several high-
end apartments are also being
built in the area. One of the best

Hartford, according to Carron, is
that people can get the feel of
a big city, without geing lost.
"The restaurateurs are a close-
knit bunch. They all root for each
other," he said.
Focus on quality
Max's Oyster Bar has been
serving Hartford-area customers
for more than 20 years and is just
one of nine restaurants run by the
Max Restaurant Group.
Managing owner and partner
Bob Cooke is keenly aware that
fine-dining restaurants are
becoming increasingly rare and
that consistency is key to keeping
customers coming back.
