teams, which boast a combined 15 NCAA championships and a pas-
sionate fan base. The hoops-crazy state also features a WNBA franchise,
the Connecticut Sun, that plays in Uncasville's Mohegan Sun Arena.
And every year, the Travelers Championship brings the world's best
golfers to TPC River Highlands course, raising millions of dollars for charity
and boosting the local economy.
Minor league baseball is a fixture as well, with the Hartford Yard Goats
hosting home games in Dunkin' Donuts Park. So, too, is minor league
hockey: The Hartford Wolf Pack, a New York Rangers farm club, takes the
ice in the XL Center.
Basketball, though, oen takes center stage.
