ate Eren joined Classic Turf in 2020 after 15
years in the financial industry. She previous-
ly held positions at TD Bank, United Bank,
and PNC Bank.
Kate graduated from Merrimack College with a
degree in International Business Management and
was a member of the varsity tennis team. Kate also
holds an MBA from Southern Connecticut State
University, graduating in 2011. Kate brings a wealth
of knowledge to Classic Turf in project management
and financial expertise.
What inspired you to pursue a career in
construction, and how did you get started?
After 15 years in the banking industry, I was ready for
a change. When COVID hit, I ditched the commute
to NYC and joined my husband's family sports facil-
ity construction business close to home and never
looked back. Today, I help manage the Classic Turf
office day to day operations from fleet management
to HR to accounts payable and receivables.
What skills or strengths do you believe have
contributed most to your success in this field?
I grew up in a hard-working family with 2 older
brothers. I always worked throughout high school,
college as well as my MBA Program. I believe hard
work pays off – no matter what industry. I am thank-
ful to put my strengths to work in the construction

What advice would you give to young women
considering a career in construction?
Gain experience, take courses, attend local events, be a
role model for other women, be confident, and believe
in yourself! You can do anything you put your mind to.
