He manages a team of 15 financial solution advisors. His advisors provide financial planning and guidance to a variety of clients and are respon- sible for managing more than 1,800 relationships. Attorney Chelsey Manning is a partner at Halloran Sage, a full-service law firm. Joining the firm as an associate, Manning became a partner in less than six years. She represents clients in every court throughout Connecticut as a defense litigator, and handles numerous cases for many of the nation's largest King is the consumer bank market lead for the Hartford market president, regional lead for the National Consumer Investments EED&I council as well as the regional small business lead. What's been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career? I drive a talent management process focused on attracting, retaining and developing diverse and top talent to serve the unique financial needs of the clients and communities in Connecticut. This has resulted in eight members of my team moving on to careers in leadership, the private bank or wealth management. How are you involved in the community? I have served on the board of directors for the Hispanic Health Council since 2019, and sit on the finance subcom- mittee. Previously, I served on a variety of boards in local government. Why do you deserve to be a 40 Under Forty? • The majority of advisors on my team joined via our training program and rep- resent the markets in which we serve. • My team directly manages and delivers financial planning and guidance to more than 1,200 house- holds across Connecticut and the Northeast. • 94% overall employee engagement for my direct population in 2024. insurance companies. What's been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career? Transitioning from a prominent plain- tiff's firm to Halloran Sage's powerful defense team where I made my way to partner has been a proud accomplish- ment. Being able to work side-by-side with one of Connecticut's premiere insurance attorneys and an incredible team is a milestone in my career. Why do you deserve to be a 40 Under Forty? • Named partner in less than six years with a very active legal firm promi- nent in insurance defense. • Raising a family while balancing a demanding career in a highly compet- itive profession. • Gives back consistently to my community through volunteering and fundraising with my children's school and my hometown. What do you like to do outside of work? Spending time with family is very important to me. My husband and I have three children, ages six, four and one. It is a privilege to raise them in a town with such a tightly-knit community full of activities and events. David L.
