6 Lamoureux Pagano Associates | Architects The diversity of the firm's portfolio can be seen in the variety of projects the firm completed. In 1978, Riley Stoker, a local industrial boiler manufacturer, wanted to build a facility for prototype and emissions testing; Lamoureux designed its new research facility to produce equipment and new concepts for companies around the globe. The firm also completed commissions for several other industrial era titans of Worcester and surrounding communities, including Montrose Products in Auburn. Respecting History and the Planet Through the decades, architectural techniques have evolved and clients' priorities have shifted. Computers were not yet ubiquitous so blueprints were painstakingly hand drawn and electronic communication was still years away. But woven through the firm's history are sustainability and energy efficiency in building design, respect for maintaining historic accuracy, and recycling/ reusing existing materials whenever possible. 1970's Office In 1976, Founder RICHARD LAMOUREUX said, "I've had a seven-year climb from designing back porches. We manage to keep things going by diversifying, going after things, renovations and negotiative work with contractors. One of the present projects is converting a hamburger stand to a branch bank."
