Verrill Dana LLP, a law firm in Portland, appointed Regina Hurley to chair of the firm's executive board and elected Barbara Young to its board. With the election of Young, the firm's execu- tive board is now led by a majority of women, exceeding national statistics for gender parity in law firm leader- ship positions. Gov. Janet Mills reappointed James Donnelly and Kelly Martin and nomi- nated Sven Bartholomew to the University of Maine System board of trustees and reappointed former state Rep. Jean Ginn Marvin and nominated former state Sen. Joyce Maker to the Maine Community College System board of trustees. In addition, the governor nominated former U.S. Rep. Michael Michaud to the boards of trustees for both the University of Maine System and the Maine Community College System. The Portland Water District board of trustees elected Guy Cote as president and Louise Douglas as vice president. Additionally, David Kane was reelected as treasurer and Donna Katsiaficas was reelected as clerk. Susan Collins as the "most bipartisan senator" for the sixth consecutive year. Collins received the highest bipartisan score in the 26-year history of the index. Haskell Farm in Palermo was awarded "2018 Top Ten National Quality Award" for organic milk from Danone North America. e farm was recognized as No. 5 in the U.S. for its commitment to producing quality organic milk. Hearst Television was awarded its 10th consecutive "USC Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Television Political Journalism" in the station group category.
