What's changed: Rising Tide has continued to grow, and I've made my fi rst foray into politics — serv- ing in the House of Representatives and now running for Maine Senate. I am also co-chairing a bipartisan legislative task force that is working to identify state-level solutions that can drive down healthcare costs and make coverage more aff ordable for all Mainers. What's ahead: My son turns 15 this summer, so I expect I'll be spending lots of time teaching him to drive and then taking him to visit colleges over the next couple of years. I also plan to continue my leadership at Rising Tide and in the public sphere in the legislature. Advice: Find mentors you can trust and bounce ideas off of them often. Don't be afraid to ask for advice and after doing so, trust your gut and be decisive.
