Located on Worcester's Shrewsbury Street for 22 years, New England Business Media has been an active member of the community for nearly a quarter of a century. e publication partners with dozens of area nonprofits to increase the visibility of their events and help raise awareness, and has used its promotional muscle to help advance several worthy community causes. In addition, over the last couple years, WBJ has been publishing a guide to nonprofits – the Central Mass Giving Guide – that profiles each firm, its mission and its volunteer opportunities. While many general– interest media companies – namely daily newspapers – have had to shrink their organizations over the last few years, WBJ and its parent company have been able to grow their regional B2B niche and increase their sales, employment base and market share.
