Larkin, vice president of government relations at Travelers Cos. in Hartford, has been elected to the board of directors of The New England Council, a non-partisan alliance of businesses, academic and health institutions, and public and private organizations formed to promote economic growth in the region. Since joining Travelers in 2004, Larkin has worked in state government relations covering the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Prior to joining Travelers, she was a lobbyist at Updike, Kelly & Spellacy in Hartford. Santhosh Keshavan has been appointed chief information officer of Voya Financial Inc., based in Voya's Windsor office. He reports to Maggie Parent, executive vice president-technology, innovation and operation. Keshavan joins Voya from Regions Financial, a U.S. bank- holding company headquartered in Alabama, where he served as CIO for core banking. Dr. Julian Nieves has joined Iora Primary Care, a new primary care doctor's office in Hartford designed specifically for Medicare patients over the age of 65, as medical director. Nieves is board-certified in internal medicine and has practiced medicine since 1999. He comes to Iora, located at Avery Heights, from Salud Primary Care & Integrative Medicine in Farmington. Nieves joins Dr. Rina Garcia, health coaches, nurses, and a behavioral health specialist at Iora and both physicians are fluent in English and Spanish. Geoffrey J. Craddock has been appointed chief risk officer at Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. (MassMutual). Craddock, who reports to Chairman, President and CEO Roger W. Crandall, will be responsible for identifying and managing global operational and reputational risks across MassMutual and its subsidiaries. Craddock joins MassMutual from its OppenheimerFunds Inc. asset management affiliate. Richard Tavolieri was named managing partner for Deloitte in Hartford, effective Sept. 1. Tavolieri, a partner with Deloitte & Touche LLP, is responsible for overseeing Deloitte's growth in Hartford in addition to client service, internal operations and corporate citizenship. He succeeds John Curran, a Deloitte partner who will advise clients until he retires next May. Tavolieri has been with Deloitte for 27 years and was most recently the local audit practice leader, a position he will retain. He has also served as Deloitte's lead audit partner for several marquee Connecticut companies. Glen Miller has been hired as the full-time associate director of men's basketball at the University of St. Joseph in West Hartford. Miller is working to build USJ's first-ever men's basketball program for 2018. Miller will be in charge of recruiting, scheduling and managing the day-to-day operations for the startup program, working with Hall of Fame former UConn Head Men's Basketball Coach Jim Calhoun, who was hired as a part-time consultant to the men's basketball team and adviser to USJ President Rhona Free. Miller's experience includes coaching Connecticut College to a Division III Final Four in 1999 and 11 years of head coaching experience at the Division I level at the University of Pennsylvania and Brown University. He was also part of two NCAA Division I men's national championships at UConn as director of basketball administration in 2011 and associate head coach in 2014. Courtney Jinjika has been promoted to senior vice president and regional retail leader for Connecticut and western Massachusetts at KeyBank. She will be responsible for leading the market's retail network of branches serving KeyBank clients in Hartford, Middlesex, New Haven, Tolland and Windham counties in Connecticut and Hamden County, Massachusetts. Jinjika previously served as area retail leader for KeyBank in Seattle. CV Channagiri has been appointed chief information officer for Windsor-based SS&C Technologies Holdings Inc., a financial services software provider. He will be based in SS&C's New York City office and report to Norm Boulanger, president. The office of the CIO manages more than 200 technologists supporting all lines of business across SS&C. Sean Pomposello has been appointed director of marketing and communications at Hartford Stage. Pomposello will lead the theater's marketing, communications and sales team, and produce content and campaigns to promote the theater locally and nationally. Pomposello most recently was director of editorial strategy for A & E Networks in New York City. Pomposello is also an accomplished playwright, screenwriter and published street photographer.
