Join us for an information session and class preview at our Southborough campus on October 25 from 5:15 – 7 p.m. $53M courthouse redo gets historic approval The developers of the vacant Worcester County Courthouse received Historical Commission approval for a $53-million project to convert the 250,000-square-foot building into an apartment complex. Boston developer Trinity Financial's plans call for 114 units of rental apart- ments at the historic Main Street court- house. The firm will bring new life to the 1843 building vacant since 2008. The courthouse located on 4.28 acres at Main and Highland streets has gone through several renovations. It was rebuilt in 1989 and an addition on the Harvard Street side of the property was built in 1954. Hyatt, 110 Grill opening in $160M Apex Center The first announced openings at the development Apex Center of New England on Route 20 in Marlborough is a 110 Grill set to open Oct. 17 and the Hyatt Place hotel Oct. 31. The restaurant chain, owned by the Westford developer building the 475,000-square-foot development, is one of many restaurants slated to open at the complex. Apex includes two hotels, a Fairfield Inn & Suites and a Hyatt Place. Fairfield will open in November. AC Hotel to open in March When the AC Hotel opens in down- town Worcester in March, it will include the newest location from the rapidly expanding 110 Grill chain. The restaurant will include a 50-seat outdoor patio with a fire pit on Front Street, and a 6,000-square-foot interior with 180 seats and a large centerpiece U-shaped bar. By the time the Worcester restaurant opens, it will be the Westford company's 14th location since it took over the original Chelmsford restaurant in 2014. The res- taurant has plans to add new locations each month for the next year and a half, including Upstate New York locations near Albany, Buffalo and Rochester. The restaurant will be connected through a common hallway with the 170-room AC Hotel, a Marriott proper- ty slated to open at about the same time. The AC Hotel in Worcester was first announced in October 2015. W
