The recipients included: Virginia Kozlowski, Visit New Haven (Tourism Legacy Leader); Jeff Andersen, Florence Griswold Museum (Leader of the Year); Ben Paletsky, South Farms (Rising Star); Connecticut Art Trail (Partner of the Year); and Durham Fair Volunteers (Volunteers of the Year). Malloy is shown above providing opening remarks at the tourism conference. • • • HARTFORD BAR ASSOCIATION TO RECOGNIZE HARTFORD RESIDENT CzepigaDalyPope's former principal attorney, Sharon L. Pope, has been selected by the Hartford Bar Association to receive the President's Award for Excellence. The award is presented to an attor- ney who has been engaged in the practice of law for more than a decade, exemplifies the highest traditions of the legal profession, has performed significant services to the community at large and exem- plifies excellence and civility in his or her practice. ▶ ▶ Members of the local NBC, CBS and Fox on-air morning news teams recently competed in a dance contest to raise money for CRIS Radio at the nonprofit's annual Dining & Dancing in the Dark gala held at the Bond Ballroom in Hartford. The panelists (shown left) included: Richard Brown, director of investor relations for Metro Hartford Alliance; Emily Carter, state director of the CT Small Business Development Center; Tariq Farid, founder and CEO of Edible Arrangements International; and Jamie "The Bear" McDonald, owner of Bears Smokehouse BBQ & The Blind Pig Pizza Co.
