Macpage LLC, an accounting fi rm in South Portland, promoted Colleen Mancini to CFO. Mancini previously served the fi rm as controller. U.S. Cellular pro- moted Derek Simpson to retail store man- ager in Brewer and Ellsworth. Simpson was previously retail sales manager in Ellsworth. Verrill Dana, a law fi rm in Portland, promoted Benjamin Ford to counsel. Ford, who had been an associate, spe- cializes in litigation and trial work that focuses on labor and employment, maritime and litigation issues. FHC Inc., a Bowdoin fi rm that designs, manufactures and markets neuroscien- tifi c and neurological devices to target microscopic brain structures, promoted Russell Young to CFO, Stephanie Dundas to fi nance manager and Peggy Leonard to director of marketing. [ A P P O I N T M E N T S ] Waterville Creates!, an arts and cultural organization in Waterville, named Uri Lessing to its board of directors. Lessing is a fi fth grade teacher at Albert S. Hall School in Waterville and also serves as board president of the Maine Film Center. The Abbe Museum in Bar Harbor appointed Mary Herman and Roger Milliken to its board of trustees. Herman serves on the University of New England board and is a former member of the Maine Women's Lobby and Safe Passage boards. Milliken is president and CEO of the Baskahegan Co. in Brookton. Shaheen & Gordon PA, a law fi rm in Saco, said that the Maine Bar Association appointed Elizabeth Scheffee to serve on the Maine Supreme Court's advi- sory commission for the uniform bar exam. Scheff ee specializes in divorce and family law. Fausto Pifferrer, vice president and owner of Blue Elephant Events and Catering in Saco, joined the board of directors of the International Caterer's Association. Maine Adaptive, an organization in Newry that promotes year-round edu- cation and training for individuals with physical disabilities, added Tom Butler, Robert Gurry, Cate Parker and David Patch to its board of directors. Butler is direc- tor of skier services at Sugarloaf, Gurry is director of marketing operations for the New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland, Parker is associate director of community health and wellness at Mid Coast-Parkview Health in Brunswick and Patch is a retired naval engineer. The American Red Cross of Maine named Louis Pollock, Matt Harmon and Shawn McEwen to serve on its Southern Maine Chapter board of directors. Pollock is a retired captain with the United States Navy and former president of the inter- national division and corporate senior vice president with IDEXX Laboratories Inc., McEwen is owner and operator of Sea Salt LLC in Saco and Harmon is senior vice president of claims for The MEMIC Group in Portland. The Maine Real Estate & Development Association elected Michael Lane to its board of directors. Lane is a partner at Preti Flaherty, a law fi rm in Portland, and a member of the fi rm's real estate group.
