them more. As part of the Bridge Design to
Bridge Safety Rotation Program, AI housed
and trained entry level ConnDOT bridge
designers as assistant bridge inspection
engineers (ABIEs) for six months. This was
a comprehensive and cost-effective way to
teach ConnDOT designers to better under

stand inspection procedures and bridge
components leading to better design.
As a public safety partner for govern-
ment and transportation projects, AI is a true
collaborator with various agencies and gov-
ernmental entities. AI's engineers are experts
in updated public safety regulations in states
they serve — a role taken very seriously —
and carefully monitor potential changes to
these regulations and codes. AI's inspections
and evaluations for structures, such as bridg

es, signs, and high voltage transmission
elements alert transportation and utility own-
ers to problems before they become bigger
— along with repair/rehab plans and costs.
