The Board of Directors of The First Bancorp in Damariscotta declared a quarterly dividend of 23 cents per share. This second-quarter dividend is payable July 29, 2016, to share- holders of record as of July 6, 2016, and is up one cent from the 22 cents per share the bank paid in each of the past four quarters. Based on the June 22, 2016 closing price of $20.92 per share, the annualized dividend of 92 cents per share trans- lates into a yield of 4.40%. First National Bank in Damariscotta announced a gift of $50,000 to sup- port the LifeFlight Foundation's fund- raising efforts for a third helicopter. Camden National Corp. announced that its board of directors declared a dividend of $0.30 per share payable on July 29, 2016, for shareholders of record on July 15, 2016. UMaine Presque Isle names interim president e provost of the University of Maine at Presque Isle, Raymond Rice, will serve as the interim president, the university said. Rice will be take the reins from Linda Schott, who announced in mid-June that she was leaving to serve as president of Southern Oregon University. Schott plans to leave before the start of the 2016-2017 academic year. Rice, who is also an English professor, has worked for UMaine Presque Isle for 19 years. During his nearly two decades he has held various positions, including chairman of the College of Arts and Sciences. Since 2014 he's been provost and vice president for academic and student aff airs.
