We also have Eversource Business Centers to offer expert service and solu- tions to our many business and commer- cial customers. Account Executive teams and Business Centers provide customized service on issues important to business, like energy efficiency, power quality and competitive energy suppliers. 50% Improvement in Reliability Last year, we delivered our best service ever. Eversource customers were able to count on reliable power 99.98% of the time, even during one of the worst winters on record. We've im- proved overall reliability in Connecticut more than 50% over the last five years. We're hard at work in 2016, investing in infrastructure, trimming trees, strengthening our natural gas delivery system, and working to bring clean hydropower into New England to lower energy supply prices. We want to help our customers understand how and why energy supply prices change. And even more important, we're working to bring those prices down. Committed to Strengthening the Region As a regional leader in the energy marketplace, we are acutely aware of our responsibility to the communities we serve. We recognize and embrace our obligation to develop innovative and meaningful solutions to the en- ergy challenges that face our region. Energy supply rates continue to experience seasonal price volatility, largely due to regional infrastructure constraints. These market conditions affect the price of the energy we pur- chase for our customers. Eversource is working with New England's policy leaders to address this regional energy infrastructure need, and we have proposed solutions to bring more energy into the marketplace. Simply put, more energy means lower energy supply prices for you. • Northern Pass — Northern Pass is a project that will bring 1,090 megawatts of clean, affordable electricity from Hydro-Quebec to New Hampshire and the rest of New England. We have estimated that the additional power Northern Pass will bring to the region would save New England customers more than $800 million per year. • Access Northeast — Access Northeast is a project that will bring much-needed natural gas to New England, up to one billion cu- bic feet a day. When in place, this new supply will be used to fuel the electric generation fleet, and is estimated to save the region as much as $1 billion every year. Every day, Eversource employees deliver energy to Connecticut – safely and reliably.
