Davis is the co-founder and CEO of Gelato Fiasco, while Phillips is the refugee services program coordina- tor for the city of Portland. Linda Riddell, population health scien- tist and principal at Health Economy LLC, a health data fi rm in Cape Elizabeth, joined the editorial board of the peer- reviewed journal, Population Health Management. e journal is published six times annually by the omas Jeff erson University School of Public Health of Philadelphia. Gov. Paul R. LePage reappointed Martha Harris to the state Board of Education for a second fi ve-year term. Harris, who has served on the board since 2010 including one year as vice chair and as chair of the board since July 2015, is a lawyer in Bangor. John Bird and Wilson Hess also joined the board for fi ve-year terms and Elise McKendry, as student representative, for a two- year term. Bird spent 29 years as an educator and administrator while Hess is a former president of the University of Maine at Fort Kent. [ A C H I E V E M E N T S ] Oxford Networks, a telecommunications company in Lewiston, won a Client Reference of the Year Award from IBM for a testimonial on how the company uses IBM's Power8 proces- sor-based technology to attract and retain cloud customers. Connie Jones was the recipient of the 2016 Ikaria Award for contribu- tions toward improving the lives of older adults at the 2016 Fill the Plate Breakfast held recently in Lewiston. Jones is a gerontologist at SeniorsPlus, an agency on aging located in Lewiston. e U.S. Small Business Administration announced that Margo Walsh was selected to receive the Small Business Person of the Year award for Maine. Walsh is owner of MaineWorks LLC, a temporary employment agency in Portland that places workers on construction, bridge and road building sites.
