HEALTH • September 21, 2015 25 DONNA JAWOREK of Milford was hired by Pernet Family Health Service in Worcester, as director of early intervention. She has spent 20 years in the field of early intervention in Pennsylvania and in Massachusetts, 10 of those years at the director level. Jaworek has also served as a second-grade teacher, and as a child care director in corporate and community centers. She has a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Mercyhurst University in Erie, Penn., and a master's degree in educational leadership from Framingham State University, where she is an adjunct professor. DR. THOMAS G. BYRNE was hired by Family Health Center of Worcester as chief medical officer. A family physician, Byrne has 25 years of experience in practice. He most recently served as medical director of Hallmark Health Medical Associates in Stoneham. A Hudson resident, Byrne earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Md. DRS. LINDSAY OLIVER, CALLIE STONE and KAREN COTTING have been hired by Reliant Medical Group of Worcester. Dr. Oliver will serve at the department of pediatrics, in the Auburn location. She earned her medical degree at the University of Vermont in Burlington, and completed her residency in pediatrics at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. She is board certified. Dr. Stone joined Reliant's department of same-day services, and will practice in pediatric urgent care at the Plantation Street, Worcester, site. She has a medical degree from UMass Medical School and completed a residency at UMass Medical Center, both in Worcester. Dr. Cotting will practice pediatrics at Reliant's location in Leominster. She earned her medical degree from UMass Medical School in Worcester and completed her residency at UMass Memorial Medical Center. Drs. Stone and Cotting are both candidates for the American Board of Pediatrics. DR. KATHLEEN C. COAN was hired as an emergency medicine physician by Harrington HealthCare System of Southbridge. She will work at Harrington's two emergency care centers in Southbridge and Webster. Dr. Coan, a resident of Sturbridge, has a medical degree from the University of Connecticut in Storrs. She recently completed her residency at Boston Medical Center, where she served as a chief resident of emergency medicine. DR. CHRISTIAN G. HEINIS was hired by Harrington Healthcare System in Southbridge. He will see patients at two emergency care centers in Southbridge and one in Webster, the Remillard Family Emergency Department. A resident of Harvard, Heinis earned a medical degree from Chicago Medical School and completed his residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center at Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn, N.Y. He has been an emergency-care physician at Heywood Hospital in Gardner for two years. Before that, Heinis was an employee of the UMass Memorial Medical Center Emergency Department, where he was also an assistant professor of emergency medicine. MARY BETH PAPCSY of Worcester was named community services representative for Central Massachusetts by AdCare Hospital. Papcsy has served as public relations and marketing coordinator for AdCare for nearly 10 years. She received her bachelor's degree from Trinity College, and a master's in marketing from Clark University. DR. LE SANTHA NAIDOO joined Groton Wellness as a doctor of osteopathy. Dr. Naidoo specializes in environmental detoxification, stress and weight management, chronic fatigue, auto-immune disorders and autism. She received her doctorate from Midwestern University, and is board certified by the American boards of Family Medicine and Integrative and Holistic Medicine. MICHAEL STUART was hired as director of compliance and continuous quality improvement at The Bridge of Central Mass., in Worcester, a nonprofit serving people with developmental disabilities. He formerly worked at Community HealthLink and at Spectrum Health Systems Inc., in several key positions. Stuart, of Sutton, is a graduate of Worcester State University and holds a master's degree from Nichols College. DR. LAWRENCE WHITING has been hired as the first on-site physician at Life Care Center of Massachusetts, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Auburn. He has served as an emergency room physician and is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians. The advisory board of Devereux, a private special needs school, foster care provider, and residential treatment agency in Rutland, elected five new members at its annual meeting. DAVID BUTLER, president of Butler Dearden; MICHAEL GOELLER, president and owner of Huntington Advisors LLC; JUMI HAYAKI, associate professor of psychology at the College of the Holy Cross; KIMBERLY KENNEDY, assistant vice president of operations at Arbella Insurance Group; and KIMBERLY STONE, an attorney with Counsel On Call. The board also appointed GAYLE WEISS, a vice president at Unum Group, as chair. Clinton Hospital's board of trustees announced the appointments of three new members: LUIS MASEDA, president of NP Medical; CHRISTOPHER PHILBIN, vice president of government relations at UMass Memorial Health Care; and CATHERINE ROSSI, vice president of managed care contracting for UMass Memorial Health Care. PAMELA ZOURANJIAN CONNOR of Milford was named director of the cancer center at Harrington Healthcare System. She will also continue as director of satellite operations, overseeing several Harrington locations. Connor received an associate's degree from Gwynedd-Mercy College in Pennsylvania, and attended Northeastern University. Tufts Health Plan of Watertown appointed Worcester resident AUDREY SEFAKIS to director of commercial care management. Sefakis, a nursing professional and certified case manager, brings more than 18 years of health care experience to the position. Sefakis will be responsible for overseeing care and utilization management functions for Tufts Health Plan's commercial products division. Sefakis previously worked at Pennsylvania- based Genesis Health Care Corp., most recently as director of internal case management. STEPHEN HILBORN joined Harrington Physician Services, based in Southbridge, as a general surgeon and wound specialist. He has worked in both Vermont and New Hampshire, and received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. Gardner-based GVNA Healthcare's Healthy Families Program received the 2015 Children's Trust Training and Education Award from Children's Trust. Gardner-based Heywood Healthcare honored 229 employees for their service to Heywood and Athol Hospitals, Winchendon Health Center, Heywood Rehabilitation Center and Heywood Medical Group. Rose Kavalchuck and Betsy Turczynski marked 40 years at Heywood Hospital; Les Henley received recognition for 45 years at Athol Hospital. The Daniel P. Moen Employee Excellence Award was given to 15-year employee Lucille Diemdowicz.
