I served as director on local and state Realtor associations and as president of the local Women's Council of Realtors, and in 2013 I received the Worcester's Realtors' Choice award. Community involvement: I coordinat- ed three Keller Williams "RED Day" ser- vice projects at nonprofit venues throughout Worcester. I currently chair the local Realtors' Government Affairs Committee, which promotes home ownership throughout the common- wealth. Each year I volunteer with the Greater Worcester Community Foundation to award scholarships to local high school students. Ultimate career goal: So many people have invested in me; I want to do that for others. Non-relative you admire most: Nelson Mandela Favorite book: "Good to Great," by Jim Collins Hidden talents: I sing the standards, I can shuffle a deck of cards with the best of them and I bake a pretty yummy Swedish coffee bread! The opportunity — with the help of experienced team members — to analyze complex funds flows, develop multifaceted financial models and provide key information to support strategic and tactical decisions for the organization, is fulfilling. Community involvement: I volunteer in my son's school as time permits, in addition to supporting various charities monetarily. Ultimate career goal: Continue to do what I like and enjoy (finance), in a decision-making capacity, with an enjoyable work-life balance. Non-relative you admire most: Former tennis player Stefan Edberg, for his phenomenal composure on court, under pressure and any level of stress. I admire this quality and strive to emulate it each and every day. Favorite book: "Jonathan Livingston Seagull," by Richard Bach Hidden talents: I enjoy playing ping pong (contemplated turning professional several years ago)! After a long gap, I recently started playing again. "By the time I turn 50, I'd like to have accomplished … a sense of satisfaction and joy with how I raised my son." In 2011, I won an award at UMass Memorial for work I did to help get about 10,000 employees trained on wage and hour laws. In 2013, I won a similar award for aiding the successful implementation of employee recogni- tion "toolkits" to managers. Community involvement: For five months this year I worked as a market- ing volunteer for Girls Inc. of Worcester, where I assisted with maintaining the organization's presence on social media, helped with writing and distribution of press releases and public service announcements, and aided in the design and orchestration of special events. For the past two years I have also volunteered for Boy Scouts of America as Pack 151 of West Boylston's camp coordinator. Ultimate career goal: When I grow up, I want to be a writer. Non-relative you admire most: Elie Wiesel Favorite book: "The Princess Bride," by William Goldman Hidden talents: In a word: selfies. I take them often and have been told that I have a special talent for taking perfect selfie photos. "By the time I turn 50, I'd like to … have published a novel." When I finally found my true, authentic self, I was able to (achieve) my full potential. My career highlights are built of the great connections I've made with people through my career. Community involvement: I love encour- aging people to believe in themselves, so my main focus in giving back is mentor- ing, but I partake in various volunteer work, mostly through my membership in the Women's Initiative.
