It went everywhere with us – on the couch, in the car, to the beach – and became synonymous with home and comfort. My mom set out to create a better version of that beloved family blanket: incredibly soft and comfortable, but also beautiful, durable and easy to care for. She named the com- pany ChappyWrap after Chappaquiddick island. I joined my mom in the business in 2018, and together we relaunched ChappyWrap with a renewed vision for what the brand could become. What started as a small mother- daughter business has grown into something beyond our wildest dreams: a nationally recognized consumer brand with a team of 20 people, headquartered here in Maine. My mom passed away in March 2025, so carrying forward the company we built together has taken on an even deeper meaning for me. At its core, ChappyWrap is still about exactly what it was when she started it: creating something that brings comfort, connection and a feeling of home. Today, I run the business alongside my husband, Drake, and we work to continue to grow the business while never losing sight of what initially inspired it. Made in Maine Our blankets aren't manufactured in Maine, but ChappyWrap is very much a Maine-based business. Our headquarters, team and so much of the creative and strategic work, heart, and hustle behind the brand are based here. I'm really proud that we're building a business based in and inspired by Maine. ere can sometimes be an assumption that to build a significant consumer brand, you need to be in New York, Los Angeles or another major market. Our experience has been very different. We've built an incredibly talented team here, created sophisticated roles across marketing, creative, merchandising, product and operations, and reached cus- tomers all over the country while remaining firmly rooted in Maine as our home and as such an important part of our story. As ChappyWrap grows nationally, I love that Maine will always be home for our brand. Products and Innovation We're best known for our signature ChappyWrap blan- kets, which sit at the intersection of function, design, comfort and emotional connection. ey're beautiful enough to live in your home but durable and washable enough to actually live your life with them. What really differentiates us is the relationship people develop with their Chappies. We hear from customers who have one on every bed, bring them on every family trip, give them as wedding or baby gifts, or have children who won't sleep without theirs. We want to create the blanket you reach for every single day, the one that becomes a part of your home, family and everyday life. Looking Ahead What excites me most is how much opportunity we still see ahead of us. We've built a strong foundation and deeply loyal customer community, but in many ways it feels like we're still only at the beginning of what ChappyWrap can become. Success for us isn't simply about becoming as big as possible. It's about building an enduring brand – one our customers continue to feel deeply connected to, where talented people want to build their careers, and something that my mom would be proud of. If we can continue growing, creating meaningful careers here in Maine and protecting the heart of what we created together, that would feel like success to me.
