A sprinkler top is shaped at C.M. Almy's
factory in Pittsfield, where the company
offers its holy-water sprinklers in brass
or bronze. The company has made
church and clergy goods since 1892.
Hardshore Distilling in Portland produces gin, whiskey and vodka using a "grain-
to-glass" approach. The company sources wheat from founder Jordan Milne's
family farm in upstate New York and processes it in-house.
Trevor Laliberte removes tempeh from a freezer at Tootie's Tempeh in Biddeford's
historic Pepperell Mill. The company makes tempeh from fermented whole
soybeans, giving the product a firm texture and nutty flavor.
