4 Worcester Business Journal | July 27, 2026 | wbjournal.com Bancroft School is a PreK–12 school built on inquiry, community, and connection. On one 34 acre campus, students ask big questions, build confidence, independence, and discover how their ideas, voices, and actions can make an impact. Students are expected to wonder. To investigate. To create. To contribute. And they do. From PreK through Graduation Students are encouraged to explore what makes them curious and turn ideas into work they can build, test, and improve (yes, that includes our Lower School students!). Walk through campus and you'll find 2nd graders explaining their thinking, listening closely, and presenting with purpose. Students deepen these skills as they move from one grade to the next. It's why 75% of our PreK parents tell us they plan to stay at Bancroft through graduation. In Middle School, students take on greater independence through work that connects ideas across subjects and beyond the classroom. In Grade 8's Trout in the Classroom project, students monitor water quality, interpret long- term data, apply concepts from science and engineering, and consider their responsibility to the environment. Work like this strengthens the inquiry, collaboration, and follow through that prepare students for Upper School. By Upper School, students have opportunities to pursue advanced work that extends beyond the AP curriculum, including Multivariable Calculus and original research. Every senior completes an inquiry-based course in which they investigate a complex question, conduct advanced research, develop original conclusions, and communicate their findings. Prepared for What Comes Next Recent graduates have continued their education at institutions including: Brown University · Cornell University · Duke University Harvard University · Stanford University · University of Massachusetts Amherst · University of Pennsylvania Villanova University · Williams College · Worcester Polytechnic Institute Students graduate Bancroft prepared not only to enter college, but to think independently, advocate for themselves, take on demanding work, and contribute to the communities they join next.
