Marcelo Alves, who is president of New Genera - tion Custom Homes in Franklin, is the manager of Alpine Place, according to filings with the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth. NATICK New York-based Raymour & Flan- igan is opening a 105,000-square-foot flagship showroom at the Natick Mall, according to a company press release. e two-story site will be the brand's seventh location in the state when it opens in late March, joining the store's other Central Massachusetts location in Millbury. e location fills space vacated by New York-based Lord & Taylor in 2020. Adore Nails of Natick signed a new lease for 3,168 square feet of retail space at 11 Main St. from Stonegate Group of Natick. Matt Cuneo, Garett Quinn, and Marilyn Santiago of NAI | Parsons Commercial Group - Boston in Natick served as leasing representatives for this transaction. SHREWSBURY Worcester-based GoVenture Capital Group proposed a mixed-use develop- ment and special permit to the Shrews- bury Planning Board to construct a 12,000-square-foot commercial building at 525 Hartford Turnpike, along with two five-story residential buildings with a maximum of 250 units. Real estate firm IREIT Shrews- bury White City is seeking a site plan approval and special permit to renovate 333 South St., a property formerly occu- pied by UMass Chan Medical School's president's office, into a manufacturing enterprise with an accessory dwelling space. SOUTHBOROUGH e Southborough Planning Board voted at its March 9 meeting to approve a plan to convert a portion of an office building at 352 Turnpike Road into housing for participants in Disability Assistance & Vocational Education, Inc.'s full-time programming. e project will see 17 one-bedroom units, four two-bedroom units, and two three-bedroom units built on the building's upper floor, as well as the construction of common space and classrooms. Defense and space manufacturing firm alrix has leased 2,000 square feet of industrial space at 40 Southville Road in Southborough. e space was leased from Gleeson Powers of South- borough, with Marilyn Santiago and Garrett Quinn of NAI | Parsons Com- mercial Group - Boston serving as leasing representatives. alrix builds devices used to counter unmanned aircra systems. STURBRIDGE Aer serving in the role since No- vember 2005, Jean Bubon will retire as the town planner for the Town of Sturbridge on Aug. 11. She previously served in a similar role for the Town of Palmer. In the Sturbridge Select Board meeting in February, the board members praised Bubon's work before accepting her resignation. e matter concluded with a standing ovation for Bubon. WORCESTER e Worcester Planning Board vot- ed at its Feb. 18 meeting to recommend the rezoning of about 7.75 acres of land near Highland Street and Suburban Street to allow for the construction of multi-family housing. e proposed change will still need a sign off from the Worcester City Council. Ragtag Pet Grooming of Worcester has leased 1,284 square feet of retail space at 376 Chandler St. from Eu- rayshia Williams Properties LLC, a Worcester-based entity managed by Eurayshia Williams. Brian Johnson and omas Bodden of Kelleher & Sa- dowsky Associates in Worcester served as leasing representatives. 416 Belmont Realty LLC of West Boylston, an entity managed by John Maroney and Kirill Vesselov, purchased three properties containing a total of six residential units for $1.75 million from 6 Coburn Avenue LLC of Holden, an entity managed by Tony Bianco. e properties are at 6 Coburn Ave., 5 Alvarado Ave., and 7 Alvarado Ave. Drew Higgins and Brian Johnson of Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates in Worcester represented the seller in this transaction.
