I discovered early on that I had a natural knack for problem-solving and a love for building, which shaped my path into construction. What skills or strengths do you believe have contributed most to your success in this field? A sense of humor, a willingness to listen, and a commit- ment to supporting my team have been key to my suc- cess. I believe in leading by example and never asking my staff to do something I would not do myself. What advice would you give to young women considering a career in construction? The opportunities in this field are incredible for those with pas- sion and curiosity. Get involved, seek mentors, and do not be afraid to take up space, because once you do, you will see how rewarding this industry can be. 7 Summits Construction is a full-service MBE construction company providing Construction Management, Owner's Representation, General Contracting and Design/ Build to clients such as City of Hartford, University of St. Joseph, Loomis Chaffee School, Hartford Healthcare, and Eversource.
