Becoming an audit partner at Deloitte was the most significant milestone in my career so far. I was also in the 2020 class of Deloitte's elite fellowship pro- gram consisting of 24 high-performing managers across the U.S. developing recommendations for sustainability initiatives, which were presented to the Deloitte U.S. executive committee. How are you involved in the community? I have been involved with Junior Achievement for over 15 years, over- seeing over 30 Deloitte volunteers per year to lead programs building financial literacy in students. I also participated on the young professional advisory board for the Boys and Girls Club of Hartford, offering feedback on strate- gies, goals and programs. Why do you deserve to be a 40 Under Forty? • My demonstrated leadership in delivering exceptional client service through high-quality audits and industry knowledge and insights. • My commitment to supporting child- hood development programs to build a brighter future for all children. • Strong role model for working parents in the public accounting industry on balancing family and career goals. What's been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career? I made partner at an AmLaw 200 law firm in nine years, and rose to co-chair of the firm's finance practice group three years later. I've been fortunate to spend my entire legal career at Robinson+Cole and have benefitted immensely from the collaborative and supportive culture of the firm. What do you like to do outside of work? I love spending time with my family and friends. In the warmer months, we spend most of our time outdoors, hiking, on the boat or at the beach. In the winter months, we spend most of our time cooking and finding excuses to get together and laugh. Natalia Sieira Millán AGE: 38 COMPANY: Shipman & Goodwin LLP TITLE: Partner NO.
