Former President MIKE PAGANO said of his decision to join the firm, " I could see that Dick was a formidable architect and a man of his word. What attracted me to Dick was that if he took a project, he gave it everything that was in him. The project got every bit of attention that it needed and that impressed me. If he told someone he would do this for you, he found a way, and those were qualities that I admired." collaboration with clients, the firm was solidifying its foothold in the region. During this decade, the firm also focused on projects that involved many local industrial giants. LPA|A renovated office space at Wright Line in 1980; Norton Company commissioned the firm to design its executive suites in 1985. The firm expanded its reach into the academic world as well. In 1986, the firm designed the library and science buildings at the Bancroft School and the student center at Becker College; six years later Becker commissioned LPA|A to design another project. A Nurturing Environment LPA|A's burgeoning practice signaled the need to add more staff. Given the work environment, professional integrity and commitment to volunteerism, several hires during this time period are still with the firm today. In 1985, Lamoureux's son Richard became part of the team and Kathryn Crockett joined the firm in 1986; both Lamoureux and Crockett are now principals. Lamoureux's daughter Andree Witkos and Robert Para Jr., now a principal, came on board in 1987, and principal and design lead Eric Moore has been with LPA|A since 1989.
