MISSION STATEMENT Our mission is to inspire community revitalization through innovation and entrepreneurship in Presque Isle. We've created a non-traditional approach to serve the community in an innovative and creative way. We're bringing together a service based nonprofit and restoring the iconic Northeastland Hotel and restaurant to help revitalize the downtown. Ignite PI's purpose is to be the "connector" to a wide variety of resources for those looking to find ways to grow and thrive here. We strive to provide all the benefits of being a service-based nonprofit while also providing a much- needed resource of a boutique hotel and restaurant in the heart of the Star City. We are a nonprofit that has a for-profit hotel and restaurant as part of its' mission. We are setting an example for innovative and creative opportunities that are available all around us. Our co-working space fosters innovation and provides networking opportunities to members and hotel guests alike. As our inaugural project, this storefront space is striving to achieve the most innovative business model in New England. Our goals include: f Maintain and sustain a strong nonprofit infrastructure f Complete the renovation of the iconic Northeastland Hotel f Develop the Innovation Center into a co-workspace that is the nexus of the Star City f Implement a path forward for new business attraction, community development and entrepreneurial support f Operate the Northeastland Hotel and Rodney's at 436 Main with a tax paying model with the unique purpose of dedicating revenue to our nonprofit mission FUNDRAISING EVENTS/ OPPORTUNITIES Individuals, corporations, businesses, foundations, municipalities and community-based organizations play an integral role in supporting our organization, our programs and the region we serve and help us meet our goals and our commitment to Aroostook County. With our inaugural year behind us, we are ready to host a wide variety of event offerings. As we continue to build our nonprofit model, our goal is to build a donor base that honors our mission. Donations of any size can be made to general operating support or specific to a program or area of interest. Annual Fund – Our "BE A SPARK" annual fund is the heart of our fundraising efforts throughout the year. D i r e c t s u p p o r t a n d i n - k i n d contributions – We welcome direct service gifts and in-kind contributions that align with our mission and purpose. Planned giving – Forward thinking is the center of our mission. Planned gifts are a lifeline to our mission for future generations. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES We have diverse opportunities for individuals and businesses to give their gift of time and talent to help move our mission forward.
