Cancer hits you close to home. It could be you or
your loved one or your friend. We need to make sure
we have everything we need close to home to give
us the best chance of — not just surviving — but
thriving through our cancer journey.

breast cancer survivor,
age 32
MaineGeneral Medical Center seeks $30 million to expand the
Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care, and thereby continue to save
the lives of people in Maine, lower the death rate from cancer in
the Kennebec Valley and beyond, and enhance the health of
our patients, our families and our communities.
Our data show the need for cancer services in our
community is growing, and it is demanding.
One in three Mainers will face a cancer diagnosis
in their lifetime.
Will you help us shape the future of local cancer care?
Expanding the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care will help ensure
we continue to provide high-quality, patient-centered care for future
generations.
