It is currently owned by Asam and Tariq Farid, the well-known founder of the Edible Arrangements brand. Built in 2001, the single-family home underwent a significant expansion in 2010, which listing agent John M. Cuozzo Jr., of Hamden-based Press/ Cuozzo Realtors, said blends seamlessly with the original construction. e home, situated on 2.08 acres, is flanked by security gates leading to a circular driveway and covered portico at the entryway. A double-door entrance leads into the main level living room, featuring a fireplace. e dining room, family room and large eat-in-kitchen with adjacent pantry and desk nook, each have access to a private bluestone patio and covered sitting area outside. e home's main level also features a library with a fireplace, great room and a southern-facing solarium capturing outside views of the property. ere are hardwood floors throughout the two- story home. A grand staircase leads to the second floor, which features five bedrooms and their own private baths, along with a master bedroom suite with a fireplace and balcony. e home's lower level features media and exercise rooms. ere's an oversized, four-car garage, as well. "e owner doubled the size of the home in 2010, and (the expansion) was done so well by a Boston architect, you would never know it; it was a totally seamless and beautiful addition," said Cuozzo. e home hit the market in mid- October and Cuozzo said he has shown it several times. Cuozzo noted another benefit to the home is that it sits on a quiet cul-de- sac, and has easy access to the Merritt Parkway and Interstate 91. e town of North Haven's most recent appraisal valued the property at $1.25 million. n PHOTO | CONTRIBUTED 44 Canterbury Way, North Haven.
