Desrosiers, 38 Vice president, electric operations, Central Maine Power Co. Significant professional accom- plishment: I'm now responsible for around 650 hardworking Mainers, building a completely local lead- ership team and making sure we're focused on CMP operations every day. For me, develop- ing an approachable and available rapport throughout the orga- nization is something I take very seriously and am proud to have. Growing up, I was never an "A" student, but I enjoyed working with my hands and physically doing dif- ferent jobs. When I started with CMP in 2008, I was hired as a construction manager, spending most of my days out in the field learning how substations and transmission lines worked. I asked lots of questions and got my hands dirty next to many frontline field folks that I still frequently speak with in my new role. Passion project: As a child, I watched my grandfather and dad work in construction and headed out to job sites with them, which led me to become interested in building. While my career path has brought me to electrical operations, I have always kept my passion for building. Audacious goal: My life's goal is to work hard for myself and my family and to retire at a young age. I would like to travel the world, watch and support my daughters as they grow and help them accomplish their own goals. Favorite quote: "Hard work pays off." Influential book: "Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win," by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin. Favorite TV show: "Yellowstone" How do you recharge: I love being outdoors and enjoy- ing all of Maine's seasons, from summertime boating, fall hunting, wintertime snowmobiling and skiing with my daughters and springtime four-wheeling. Being outside and being active allows me to disconnect and recharge.
