www.wbjournal.com Worcester Business Journal Giving Guide 2022 45 Pernet Family Health Service Emergency Assistance Program 237 Millbury Street • Worcester MA 01610 • 508 755-1228 • Pernetfamilyhealth.org Pernet Family Health Service Emergency Assistance Program The Emergency Assistance Program provides residents of Worcester and surrounding communi es access to food including fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy, meats, and shelf-stable food. Addi onally, families are eligible to receive a two weeks supply of diapers and formula and occasional access to clothing and household items. We partner with the Worcester County Food Bank and also get dona ons from local organiza ons such as Rachel's Table, Stop & Shop, Wegmans, Lovin' Spoonfuls, Cradles to Crayons, United Way of Central MA, Fallon Health, Point32Health, local churches and individual donors. Annually, we distribute over 200,000 pounds of food and thousands of diapers to families. Addi onally, this program serves as an ini al point of engagement through which we are able to connect families to addi onal resources, both here at Pernet and throughout the community. During the holidays we provide thanksgiving meals for 260 families and holiday gi s for 750 children under 17 years. The Food Pantry is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9 AM to 3 PM.
