As such, there have always been many infection control practices in place. But we never experienced a pandemic in our lifetime. We were able to access disinfectant and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to protect ourselves but also to protect, educate, support and supervise the families that we serve. This has been a learning experience for many. It is not just COVID-19 that we must concern ourselves with, but how to live normally in a clean and safe environment. "As a social worker, a Worcester resident and now as Board chair, I have been involved with Pernet Family Health Service for over thirty years. I have sought the services provided by Pernet for clients and families knowing they will be treated with dignity and respect. We support racial equity and understand that the social determinants of health - the conditions under which people are born, grow, live, work, and age - need to be recognized as we strive to strengthen and build resiliency for those we serve in the belief of the worth of every individual."
