Adhlakha and his companies also allegedly engaged in a separate kickback relationship with Lab USA of Haverhill, which involved the referral of urine samples for testing in exchange for a percent- age of collected insurance reim- bursements. The AG's office alleges Adhlakha and his companies sub- mitted claims to MassHealth not appropriately ordered by physi- cians, had false dates on the claims, and were for medically unneces- sary routine quantitative testing and residential monitoring. OSA Exports, Summit Diagnostics, and Lab USA all alleg- edly conspired with Adhlakha and his companies to engage in illegal kickback relationships, resulting in thousands of claims to MassHealth and its managed care entities, the AG's office said. Defendants will be arraigned at a later date in Suffolk Superior Court. Among the 12 defendants is Shrewsbury resident Adriana Sanchez, also known as Adriana Vaccaro, who was charged with one count of conspiracy and one count of kickbacks, bribery, or rebates, according to the AG's office. Briarwood tabs SALMON executive as new leader The Briarwood Continuing Care Retirement Community in Worcester has named Andrew Freilich as its new executive director. Previously, Freilich spent more than 16 years at Milford- based SALMON Health and Retirement, working first as an executive director at Willows of Worcester before assuming the same role at the Willows and Whitney Place at Medway, according to the June 6 announcement from Boston senior living nonprofit Rogerson Communities, the management company for Briarwood. The parent company for the center is Salem Community Corp. Worcester's Briarwood is one of 28 residential properties under Rogerson's management.
