Fostering Work-Life Balance Unlike many Boston firms where the phone directory changes faster than the weather, Fletcher Tilton prides itself on its "sense of family" and "work-life balance." ese values form the basis of the firm, making it a great place to practice. e firm encourages collegiality and team building at all levels. Our attorneys are supported by a well- trained group of paralegals. We know each other, work collaboratively on projects and value each other's contributions. Every member of our team is valued, including our dedicated support staff. While many attorneys at Fletcher Tilton have spent most of their careers with us, some who le us ultimately returned to Fletcher Tilton. Case in point: Adam Ponte, a Director of the firm and Co- Chair of our Litigation Group. As an associate, Adam commuted to Worcester from Belmont for three years before joining a large law firm in Boston. While there, Ponte found an environment that was less collaborative and supportive than what he had experienced at Fletcher Tilton. As a result, Ponte approached Fletcher Tilton with the idea of opening a Boston office for us there. Today, Ponte manages a team of attorneys whose primary focus is litigation and transactional matters. Given the Boston office's success, the firm will be expanding its presence with a new larger space in Boston's financial district. While Fletcher Tilton's attorneys and paralegals are most visible to their clients, the "heart and soul" of the firm is its support staff. Case in point: Priscilla Pettway, a 27-year employee of Fletcher Tilton who has served in various roles, including her current role as receptionist for our Transactional and Trust and Estate departments. Priscilla serves as the "face" of the firm, greeting clients and ensuring that they are treated like family each time they visit our office. Among our firms most recent hires is our Executive Director, Michael Sweeney, who joined us aer serving as the Executive Director of the Massachusetts State Lottery for the past seven years. Sweeney was attracted to the firm's history of accomplishments, integrity, professionalism and commitment to providing exceptional legal service. Both Sweeney and Fletcher Tilton saw the arrangement as a good match. In his leadership role, Sweeney aims to ensure that the firm continues to innovate and be responsive to the needs of its clients, community and staff. "I want to create a place where people feel a bond and can grow professionally and personally," he said. Fletcher Tilton has long been focused on both its clients and its community, and Sweeney is committed to continuing that focus well into the future.
