According to the firm, it has been serving clients in Connecticut for the past eight years, but its nearest office has been in Westchester County, N.Y. G. Mark ompson, the firm's president and CEO, called Connecticut an "obvious choice" as the firm looks to grow strategically. He referred to New Haven as an ideal location geographically to open a new office. "e city's central location enables us to serve both existing and future clients in each of the state's judicial districts and area courts," ompson said. Charles T. Gura, a shareholder in the firm's healthcare practice, will serve as the New Haven office's managing attorney. ree additional attorneys will also be working there, including Daniel Corde, Caroline E. Skelton and R. David Lane Jr. ese attorneys represent businesses across multiple practice areas, such as general casualty litigation, medical and professional liability, premises liability, construction, privacy and data security, asbestos and mold litigation, and transportation matters. Liuzzi Cheese leases Hamden warehouse A longtime Italian cheesemaker has leased an 8,000-square-foot warehouse at 2781 State St. in Hamden. Liuzzi Cheese is a family-owned, multi-generation manufacturer that makes an array of cheese products, from mozzarella and ricotta to dry- aged cheeses. e business has a store in North Haven, Liuzzi Gourmet Food Market, and manufacturing operations in Hamden. e business plans to keep its existing manufacturing space in Hamden, on Rossotto Drive, but needed more storage room for product packaging materials, said Joel Nesson, senior commercial advisor with Press/Cuozzo Commercial Services in Hamden, who represented the business in the deal. According to Press/Cuozzo, the short-term lease is valued at $51,000, and the initial term is for one year, with an option to extend. Anthony Annunziato, an agent with Coldwell Banker Realty, represented the landlord, K&M Brothers LLC. Restaurant supply company leases space in Old Saybrook Admiral Cra Equipment Corp. has signed a lease for 8 Custom Drive, Old Saybrook. e restaurant supply company will occupy 8,510 square feet in a now fully-leased 20,160-square-foot industrial/flex building, according to an announcement. e duration and financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Sentry Commercial represented the landlord, ZZZ & I LLC, while Asset Real Estate represented the tenant. Food market and deli expanding in region A family-owned market with two area locations is expanding with a third store in Hamden. Pino and Bruno Ciccone, the team behind P & M Fine Foods in Branford and New Haven, recently purchased property at 3285 Whitney Ave., Hamden. e parcel has a 2,000-square-foot building on 0.78 acres. e deal closed on March 1 for $675,000, with the price also including all fixtures, furniture and equipment, according to an announcement. Stephen Press, with Press/Cuozzo Realtors in Hamden, represented the buyers in the deal. According to Press, the new owners anticipate their new location will be ready to open by mid-April. e business sells groceries and fresh food, such as hot soups, salads, sandwiches and gi baskets. e listing broker, Kelsey Oddo of Kelsey & Co. Real Estate, represented seller Vincenzo Buontempo. Branford business grows with new Middletown location Serenity Wellness, which provides mental health-related services, is expanding with a second location in Middletown. e business was founded in 2017 and has a location at 388 E. Main St., Branford. It recently signed a seven- year lease for a 1,600-square-foot space at 203 Main St., Middletown. Serenity Wellness has about a dozen clinicians and staff, and the business provides psychotherapy and medication management to both individuals and families. Meredith Bailey, an APRN, owns the business. Oxford industrial site fetches $900K A 16,000-square-foot industrial facility at 178 Christian St., in Oxford, has sold for $900,000. CAB Properties LLC, a local investor, bought the property from Oxford Science Center LLC. e buyer's principal is listed as Steven L. Buonauto of Royal Oak Properties in Waterbury, state records show. e facility sits on a 3.9-acre property in the Oxford Industrial Park and includes a 3,000-square-foot outbuilding. n
