Pedro Azagra Blázquez will succeed current CEO Dennis Arriola, effective May 28. Avangrid said Arriola "has decided to leave the business." Azagra currently serves as chief development officer at Iberdrola, S.A., a Spanish multinational utilities company that owns the majority of Avangrid. He has served on Avangrid's board of directors since 2019, and previously served as a member from 2014 to 2018. Washington Trust hires mortgage loan officer to serve shoreline e Washington Trust Co. recently hired Old Saybrook resident Brad orpe as a new mortgage loan officer. orpe will assist customers in Old Saybrook and the surrounding shoreline area with their mortgage loan needs. orpe joins Washington Trust with more than 14 years of lending experience in the banking industry. He began his career as a mortgage professional at People's United Bank and most recently worked for Wells Fargo. Slate Pages appoints new company CEO A West Haven company, Slate Pages, recently appointed Jeremy Jacob to serve as its CEO. Jacob, who is one of the company's founders, has several years of experience in management, and soware and app development. e company has an app used for tracking assets across various industries, such as property management, construction and manufacturing. Jacob has taught mobile development at his alma mater, Florida Atlantic University, where he earned degrees in computer science and computer engineering. TransAct Technologies names new chief revenue officer TransAct Technologies Inc., a Hamden-based company, has named Gaurav Bahri its chief revenue officer for the food service and technology market. e appointment was effective March 21. Bahri has a background in soware sales, and he joins TransAct from Workday, where he worked as a regional sales director. Previously, he was group vice president at Oracle America, where he managed teams of up to 150 sales representatives. Post University names director of law enforcement program Post University has named Amanda Nardozzi as director of the police recertification program for its School of Continuing Education. Nardozzi previously served as the associate program chair of criminal justice, and she has more than 20 years of experience in law enforcement. e Waterbury- based university's police recertification program offers online skills training and recertification resources for police departments and officers. Nardozzi will oversee development of the curriculum and online courses. Quinnipiac administrator named to leadership post Matthew Kurz of Wallingford, who is assistant dean of student affairs at Quinnipiac University, has been elected the Connecticut state director for NASPA, Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education. NASPA, a professional association for student affairs personnel, has more than 15,000 individual and 1,200 institutional members worldwide. Kurz, who joined Quinnipiac in 2017, plans to increase communication between higher education professionals to promote networking, skill development and information-sharing across the state. Albert Bros. Inc. announces promotions Albert Bros. Inc., a Waterbury- based, fih-generation family business focused on scrap metal processing and recycling, recently announced promotions at the company, including a member of the Albert family. David Shaw has been promoted to senior vice president. He joined the company in 2015. Jake Albert has been promoted to vice president. He joined the company in 2019 and represents the fih generation of the family-owned and operated business.
