Diemand, an eight-year veteran of the firm's executive committee, took over the position effective Oct. 1, succeeding Paul Hughes, who served as managing partner since 2015. Shelton theater names new managing director Center Stage eatre has appoint- ed Shelton native and resident Carla Supersano Sullivan as its new managing director. e Shelton venue provides theatrical performances, educational program- ming and volunteer opportunities. In her new role, Sullivan will oversee and manage the or- ganization, including strategic planning, fundraising, opera- tions, fiscal manage- ment and marketing. She will report to the organization's board of directors. Sullivan has served as vice president of external relations for the Shubert eatre in New Haven, managing all outward facing operations during the pandemic. New Haven Symphony music director to stay three more seasons Alasdair Neale has renewed his contract as music director for the New Haven Symphony Orchestra for three more seasons. Neale will continue in the role through the 2023-24 season, but plans to leave the post aerward. Neale began his appointment with the NHSO at the start of the 2019-2020 season. He indicated that the COVID-19 pandemic has shied his goals and dreams, and he plans to move to Paris to be closer to relatives and start new adventures in 2024. Berkshire Bank hires veteran CT banker Berkshire Hills Bancorp Inc., par- ent company of Berkshire Bank, has hired Jeffrey Klaus as its new senior vice president, regional president and middle market team leader for southern Connecticut. e position is based in New Haven. Klaus had most recently served as a regional president at Webster Bank. Klaus has more than 30 years of experience in the Connecticut banking industry.
