Diemand, an eight-year veteran of the firm's executive committee, took over the position effective Oct. 1, succeeding Paul Hughes, who served as managing partner since 2015. Diemand, who currently serves as president of the Connecticut Bar Foundation, has represented clients in complex cases such as insurance class actions, copyright claims against major record labels and recording artists, pro- fessional malpractice defense and cat- astrophic injury claims. Shelton theater names new managing director Center Stage eatre has appoint- ed Shelton native and resident Carla Supersano Sullivan as its new managing director. e Shelton venue provides theatrical performances, educational program- ming and volunteer opportunities. In her new role, Sullivan will oversee and manage the or- ganization, including strategic planning, fundraising, opera- tions, fiscal manage- ment and marketing. She will report to the organization's board of directors. Sullivan has served as vice president of external relations for the Shubert eatre in New Haven, managing all outward facing operations during the pandemic. New Haven Symphony music director to stay three more seasons Alasdair Neale has renewed his contract as music director for the New Haven Symphony Orchestra for three more seasons. Neale will continue in the role through the 2023-24 season, but plans to leave the post aerward. Neale began his appointment with the NHSO at the start of the 2019-2020 season. He indicated that the COVID-19 pandemic has shied his goals and dreams, and he plans to move to Paris to be closer to relatives and start new adventures in 2024. Berkshire Bank hires veteran CT banker Berkshire Hills Bancorp Inc., par- ent company of Berkshire Bank, has hired Jeffrey Klaus as its new senior vice president, regional president and middle market team leader for southern Connecticut. e position is based in New Haven. Klaus had most recently served as a regional president at Webster Bank. Klaus has more than 30 years of experience in the Connecticut banking industry. In his new role, Klaus will lead the middle-market regional banking teams and have primary responsibility for new business originations, manage- ment of commercial banking relation- ships and building deeper community connections in the southern Connecti- cut market. P2 Science names new tech sales manager P2 Science Inc., a Woodbridge-based green chemistry company, recently hired Kari Pekalski to serve as the com- pany's technical sales manager. CEO Neil Burns said the addition of Pekalski will help the company build sales for its products. e company opened its first manufacturing plant in Sept. 2018 and produces novel renewable aroma chemicals and cosmetic ingredients. State dental group welcomes new executive director e Connecticut State Dental Associ- ation, a statewide professional mem- bership organization and constituent of the American Dental Association, recently appointed Kathlene Gerrity as its new executive director. Gerrity has worked for nonprofit organizations for several years, and she most recently served as executive director of the Connecticut Burns Care Foundation. Mohegan Sun parent company names new COO Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, the parent of Mohegan Sun, has named Jody Madigan chief operating officer.
