North Haven rejects plan for private school expansion North Haven town officials have voted down a plan to build a new high school for the private Slate School at 5100 Ridge Road, citing traffic and land-use concerns. The town's planning and zoning commission voted 3-2 against the plan in a virtual meeting attended by more than a hundred people. The hotly-contested proposal has been debated by town officials, school proponents and community groups for more than five months.
