PANELIST:
DAVID ZAMARIN
Founder & Chief Executive Officer, DetraPel
Driven to overcome the challenges faced by his immigrant parents, David Zamarin is the
Founder & CEO of DetraPel, the latest in his series of ventures that appeared on Season 9 of ABC's
hit show Shark Tank. DetraPel is the only protective coatings manufacturer in the world that
does not use cancer-causing fluorochemicals (PFAS) in their technology. He also co-founded
two other companies that he has since exited out of. Before graduating Magna Cum Laude from
Babson College in 2019, David was considered as one of Philadelphia's Entrepreneurs of the Year
in 2016 - at age 18. A member of several advisory boards, David seeks to give back as well: he
currently sits on the Entrepreneurial Advisory Board of FedEx, has previously coached a youth
soccer team, sat on the Youth Advisory Council of SEPTA, sat on the Advisory Board of Brighton
Public Schools, and does numerous speaking engagements. Recently selected for Boston's 25
Under 25 by BostInno, and Forbes 30 Under 30, David inspires youth ventures by being an active
member of several youth entrepreneurship advisory boards. David's background and innovative
entrepreneurial spirit make him an accomplished and inspiring leader, as he is always looking to
get involved more.
