PANELIST: DARCY COOK Director of Emergency Management, Safety Trainers Darcy Cook is the President/CEO of Cook Professional Resources, Inc (CPR, Inc) dba Safety Trainers. She has over 30 years' experience in health and safety. With a Bachelor in Exercise Physi- ology and as a licensed physical therapy assistant, she has been training and consulting for companies and individuals in 11 different industries throughout New England since 1998. She holds certifications and licenses from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), American Environmental, Health & Safety (AEHS), National Safety Council (NSC), Depart- ment of Public Safety Board of Building Regulations and Standards (BBRS), Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI), ALICE Training institute, and the Office of Safety and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Some of her former roles include the Executive Board for the Central Massachusetts Conven- tion and Visitor Bureau, the Education Committee for National Home Builders Association and National Association of the Remodelers Industry, Massachusetts provider of RRP by the Depart- ment of Safety, Licensed Coordinator in the State of Massachusetts for Continuing Education Credits for Construction Supervisor License, CEU Provider for the Insurance Industry in States of Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut and Maine, the Director of an American Heart Association Training Center and an AHA Training Center Faculty Member. Darcy has presented at several conferences to include the New England American Society of Safety Engineers(ASSE), Air Conditioning Contractors of American (ACCA) and Builders Associa- tion of Central Massachusetts and Cape Cod (BACM), Eastern Massachusetts National Associa- tion of the Remodeling Industry (EMNARI) and was a speaker at JLC Live in March of 2012. Recently, she was featured in a national publication, Prosper Magazine. She has done training on a national and international level. She has had a DVD published on training tips and sales motivation and has authored two training manuals. She has facilitated several safety roundtable for the EANE of both Central and Western Massachusetts, and has appeared as a guest speaker on several radio talk shows. As a graduate of Sterling Institute of Relationships, she is proud of the network of women that she has impacted. Those relationships continue to foster economic growth, strengthen families and provide support to women in business. As a women owned, SOMWBA certified and DBE designated company, she has been able to utilize this certification in both the private and public sectors. She recently started a new business with a mission to support and serve the community it resides. This business has hired high school students who are required to attend Monday night trainings where she teaches them entrepreneurship. They are all learning to run the business and play an active role in all decision making from hiring to products and service development, community service projects, marketing and sales, budget and operations. But her most rewarding job and the one she loves the best is raising her two sons, Tyler and Mathew and being a wife to her husband Scott of 18 years. PANELIST: ERIC LONGO Director of Operations at US Pack / Hi-Gear Products, Inc. Eric is a senior leader in manufacturing/operations with experience in strategic and business planning, marketing strategy, sales and customer service, EH&S, inventory and quality. Eric is quality driven with exceptional knowledge of plant operations with profit and loss responsibility. Ability to drive goals and alignment through performance management in accor- dance with the vision of the company. He is accomplished in creating an organizational culture that drives engagement in continuous improvement through Lean / six sigma methodologies. Eric received a B.S. in Science from UMass Lowell and an MBA in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
