24 Hartford Business Journal | January 25, 2021 | HartfordBusiness.com Goodspeed Musicals, operator of the historic theater in East Haddam, named its first woman artistic director and a new managing director this week. Artistic Director Donna Lynn Hilton and Managing Director David B. Byrd will form a leadership team that will take the place of Michael Gennaro, Goodspeed's executive director who retired last year. Hilton has worked at Goodspeed since 1988 and has been the theater's producer for the past 13 years. Byrd's most recent position was managing director of Virginia Stage Company in Norfolk, Virginia. The Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford appointed eight new members to the art museum's board of directors. New board members include: » Pedro Bermudez, owner of documentary and commercial production company Revisionist Films » Karen Holden, an interior design professional » Pastor Ashley "AJ" Johnson, who leads The Urban Hope Refuge Church in Hartford » Michele Cook, artist/owner of Arcadia Press Arts » G. Duncan Harris, CEO of Capital Community College Donna Lynn Hilton electrical and mechanical inventions. » Pelletier co-chairs the firm's chemical and material science practice group. Stephen Reilly has been named the 2020 Business Leader of the Year by Northwest Connecticut Chamber of Commerce. Reilly is president and CEO of Northwest Community Bank and Connecticut Mutual Holding Company. Peter Royer was hired as a partner at Hartford law firm Halloran Sage, where he will focus on bankruptcy and real estate-related litigation. Royer was previously a partner at Hoopes Morganthaler Rausch & Scaramozza LLC. David Finnerty has been promoted to the role of executive vice president, COO at Guilford Savings Bank, responsible for the daily operations and functions of the bank. Finnerty joined GSB in 2015, and previously held the role of executive vice president, senior operations officer. Marie Sylla-Dixon has joined defense manufacturer Raytheon Technologies Corp. as chief diversity officer, responsible for leading Raytheon's diversity, equity and inclusion strategy Sylla-Dixon previously worked as vice president for government and external affairs at T-Mobile Staci Bachman was hired at development firm Spinnaker Real Estate Partners as executive vice president of legal affairs, and general counsel, responsible for managing all internal and external legal services. Bachman, who will be based in the Norwalk-based firm's Hartford office, has spent nearly 30 years in the legal profession, and has represented various developers, landlords, tenants, franchisees, institutional and private equity lenders as well as other businesses. Goran Dragolovic, CEO of Women's Health USA in Avon since 2017, is leaving the practice-management firm for a job at another healthcare company.
