Connec cut Bar Associa on's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Policy
The Connec cut Bar Associa on is commi ed to diversity in its membership, officers,
staff, House of Delegates, Board of Governors, execu ve commi ee, sec ons and
commi ees, and their respec ve leaders. Diversity is an inclusive concept encompassing
gender, gender iden ty, race, color, ethnic origin, na onal origin, religion, sexual
orienta on, age, and disability.
We are a richer and more effec ve associa on because of diversity, as it increases our
associa on's strengths, capabili es, and adaptability. Through increased diversity, our
organiza on can more effec vely address member and societal needs with the varied
perspec ves, experiences, knowledge, informa on, and understanding inherent in a
diverse rela onship.
