She excels during crisis situations, was instru- mental in moving their team remote in less than 48 hours, and developing a responsive and relevant approach to their work during COVID-19. She was a two-term Democratic state representative, serving as a dep- uty majority leader, and was a leader on women and children's issues. Four reasons why you deserve to be a 40 Under Forty: • I architected eliminating sales tax on diapers and feminine hygiene products in Connecticut; it went into effect on July 1, 2018. • Created Congressman John Larson's Kegs and Eggs fundraiser before the St. Patrick's Day Parade, which is now a signature annual event. • Collaboratively leading The Part- nership with the introduction of more family friendly workplace policies. • In 2019, we exceeded our funding goal by 57% with support from 50 of the state's top companies. Taylor Kinzler Age: 28 Company: NBC Connecticut Title: Host of "CT Live!" Town where I live: Wethersfield College: American University, Washington, D.C. Highest degree: Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism, with a minor in law and society A 2015 graduate of American University, Taylor Kinzler began her television career at WABI TV5, the CBS affiliate in Maine, anchoring their evening newscast. She was the youngest fe- male journalist to earn their evening anchor position. In Maine, Kinzler covered several high-profile murder trials as well as the station's award-winning 2016 presidential election coverage. In 2018, Kinzler moved to Hartford to pursue a new venture, launching NBC Connecticut's first morning lifestyle show "CT Live!"
