Maine's construction industry is open for business, all while adopting creative, safe, and efficient systems and procedures. Our goal is to keep Maine building safely with the continuation of essential services by demonstrating that we can distance, be clean, and share the re- sponsibility for leadership. One day at a time…one construction site at a time—we are working through this together. IO Food and Energy Assistance supports more than 4,265 households (11,000 individuals) with food, and it works with local utilities to provide energy assistance support to over 600 house- holds in 18 municipalities in the county. It is still raising money for the project and was helped recently by a $10,000 grant from Camden National Bank. "We're grateful for the generous support from our neighbors at Camden National Bank and our incredible community of donors," said Liz Jenkins, AIO's board president. "AIO is a vital and growing part of the web of services that holds our community together, and we can't do it without working hand-in-hand with local organizations, public and private." It has the contract to build a new, $8.5 million fire station, which will include EMT facilities. Elsewhere, Landry/ French has built public works facilities in Scarborough and Wells. Ledgewood Construction, which is based in South Portland, is coming down the home stretch on the $6.6 million Falmouth Public Library expansion. Scott Simons was the architect on the project. It's set to open in late spring. Hardypond Construction, which is based in Portland, is building a new gym at Lyseth Elementary School in Portland. Avesta Housing, the Portland nonprofit, has added Avesta Housing appoints board of directors officers and new board members Tony Cipollone, president and CEO of the John T.
