Kristen Miale
President / Good Shepherd Food Bank
What she's being honored for: Miale has been able to consistently
focus Good Shepherd's mission on expanding and upgrading facili-
ties and getting food to the people and places that need it. When she
was honored as a Woman to Watch in 2015, Good Shepherd had just
completed its expansion in Auburn. Now, she is overseeing expan-
sion in the Bangor area to better serve communities in northern and
central Maine, as well as Downeast.
Jeff Brickman
CEO / Central Maine Healthcare
What he's being honored for: Two years ago, Central Maine
Healthcare and its properties were on precarious ground. Brickman
himself was under pressure. But in two years, he's helped the hospi-
tal system rebound, beefing up the staffing and reducing physician
turnover, while getting the finances back in shape. In late 2019, the
hospital system announced plans for a $35 million cancer center.
