Meagher, smeagher@nebusinessmedia.com Jeff Karam, vice president for First Bristol Corp., developer of the Homewood Suites in Worcester Developers of the Homewood Suites Hotel in Washington Square are planning to build another hotel on the land, and are paying a total of $400,000 for the Worcester property. The Worcester Redevelopment Authority in April authorized the sale for three vacant parcels at the rotary with Fall River-based First Bristol Corp. The hotel, a currently unnamed Hilton brand, will include 110 rooms in a six-story building at an estimated invest - ment of $22 million. The hotel will employ at least 40. The full plans are still being developed, but the city and developer said parking will be built under part of the building. The parcels, 0, 20 and 36 Washington St., are contiguous pieces of land between Union Station and a medical office building and include a discontin - ued road that once connected to Front Street. Chief Development Officer Michael Traynor said the WRA is seeking a contractor to demolish the only remaining building on the property next to the railroad tracks. First Bristol, he said, has been pitching the project for quite a while.
