Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce announced its annual award win- ners including Billy Clafflin, "Individual Community Service Award;" Renys, "Organization Community Service Award;" Shuck Station, "Business Enhancement Award;" and John and Freida Hanlon, "Business Person of the Year Award." Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington named Tiffany Kelvey, Kathryn Hargreaves and Laura Ward as recipients of its "Excellence in Nursing Award." In addition, Kaylee Abbott, a respiratory therapist, was declared honorary nurse for the support she gives to nursing staff. e hospital also said it received a 'B' in e Leapfrog Foundation's Hospital Safety Grades report and that April Paradis earned the Oncology Certified Nurse credential from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corp. Northern Light Mercy Hospital in Portland and Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford received an 'A' grade for meet- ing the highest safety standards in the country in e Leapfrog Foundation's Hospital Safety Grades report. Patrons Oxford Insurance in Portland announced that Audrey Machowski earned a Certified Insurance Counselor designation from the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research. Machowski is a commercial lines under- writer with the firm.
