At the time Egan was named GPCOG executive director, she was in the middle of her second three-year term on the Freeport Town Council, and had been a town resident Egan, who lives in Freeport, is a six-year Maine resident, who previously was director of Transportation for Massachusetts, a coalition of 5 business, environmental planning and transit organizations in the Bay State. She was also director of the South Coast Rail Project under Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick and was director of the Massachusetts Smart Growth Alliance.
