Diane Martin worked in the Same-Day Surgery Department for 45 years before her retirement in March. In 2017, its homecare and hospice provided 73,529 visits to patients and rehabilitation therapists made 27,192 visits. People, places and happenings in Central Massachusetts Malawi mission UMass Memorial Marlborough Hospital surgeon Dr. Donald Hangen and Dr. Brian Lisse of Tufts University School of Medicine led high school student volunteers on a humanitarian mission to the African country of Malawi. Lisse founded the organization Bridges to Malawi, which provides health care, supplies and medications to the impoverished country.
