What does change is the large amounts at or near the top of the list that can sometimes raise eyebrows. This year, the top sale was a FedEx distribution center in Natick at $75.8 million. Shipping also accounted for the sixth-highest sale, a $33-million transaction in Northborough, and the eighth-highest, a $20.5-million deal in Clinton. Three of the top 10 were res- idential complexes: the Glen Meadow Apartments in Franklin sold for $51 million, the Rolling Green Apartments in Milford went for $47.6 million, and the Stratton Hill Park development in Worcester sold for $16.5 mil- lion. This year's list doesn't include as many well-known properties as have appeared at or near the top in the past. Last year, for example, the top sale was AvalonBay's sale of a Shrewsbury apartment com- plex to Audubon, creating the rebranded Audubon Shrewsbury apartments. The Greendale Mall also sold at a relative bargain- basement price of $11.8 million. In 2016, White City, the Shrewsbury shopping complex, sold for $97 million. Another shopping center, Wayland Town Center, sold for $68 million. Those transactions helped tally a total of $394 million in deals among the top 10 that year. Last year took a sharp dive with only $197 million in the top 10. This year had a spike, based in large part on MetroWest properties, which occupied the top seven slots. The total: $370 million. - Grant Welker Top commercial sales total $370M The Greendale Mall
