Dairy gets new life under Pineland Farms Bangor's once-dormant Grant's Dairy site, now under the owner- ship of Pineland Farms Dairy Co., will have dairy production for cheese and milk by July, the Bangor Daily News reported. Pineland already has 16 employees, primarily in admin- istration, and may hire up to 50 people after it finishes work on the refurbished facility, BDN reported. "e renovation and reopening of the Bangor facility is great news for the state and our [Dairy Farmers of America] family farms in this area, as it will help provide increased pro- cessing capacity as well as help create efficiencies in the local milk shed," Dairy Farmers of America Chief Operating Officer Brad Keating told the BDN. The Lewiston-based bank, which has $955 million in assets and 15 offices, announced new hires and promotions in the areas of mortgage lending and commercial lending. Mary Miller joins the bank as director of mortgage lend- ing, based out of the bank's Lewiston operations center. She will oversee each step of the mortgage process from sales to underwriting and processing. She has more than 25 years of banking experience, most recently serving as chief residential lending officer at Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod. Gregory Dauphinee joins the team in Portland as vice president and senior mortgage loan officer. He has 17 years of experience with various lending products for secondary market and government lending. Amy Torrey, who will based out of the Scarborough busi- ness development center, joins the bank as assistant vice president and mortgage loan officer. She was most recently a mortgage loan officer for Carriage House Mortgage. "We are gaining momentum as an employer of choice. Our mortgage team recently sat down to examine what was needed to be the best mortgage lender in Maine, and we are confident that these new additions to our team share our commitment to excellence," says Androscoggin Bank President and CEO Paul Andersen. On the commercial lending side, Maureen Van Uden will be a senior vice president and lead commercial loan officer, supervising commercial lenders in Portland and Brunswick. She comes from TD Bank, where she was most recently senior relationship manager in commercial lending. She is also treasurer of the Scarborough Economic Development Corp. Alicia Miller joins the bank as vice president and direc- tor of client relationships and marketing, based in Lewiston. She has more than 20 years of experience in marketing, product development and client relationship management, most recently at WEX Inc., where she was senior product marketing manager.
